Third and fourth graders enjoyed the outdoors by hiking the Constellation Trail in Prescott. The granite rock formations made it a fun place for them to explore. They got quite a work out as they hiked the winding trails and climbed the natural granite formations.
Kids spotted lizards, birds, a toad, several types of insects and even a rattle snake from a safe distance. They also took delight in the numerous wild flowers that lines the trail.
After eating their sack lunches and playing at Heritage Park they worked as a team and did an amazing job cleaning the park. A few were so exhausted that they even slept on the way home.
We were truly impressed by their behavior and willingness to take care of each other the entire day. We had a blast and can’t wait to go back next year.
