Ash Fork Cadet Corps
17 September 2020
Ash Fork Cadets are already off to a good start this year. Our cadets have been training for 7 weeks now on their physical fitness after being mostly sedentary for a couple months. It was a rough start, but they are finally getting used to the heat. In addition, the new cadets are learning more about drill and basic military knowledge.
Last weekend the cadets participated in two events. The first event took them to the Stand Down in Williams where they provided essentials to at-risk and homeless veterans. The cadets expressed how good they felt talking to the veterans as well as providing a service. They look forward to future community service events. The second event was their first Poolee training of the year where they trained with the Northern Arizona recruiters and their Poolees at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff. This event was the first IFT of the school year for the cadets. They now have fitness goals to accomplish for the next event.
