Ash Fork School District

The Ash Fork High School Student Council has been sponsoring the Vitalant Blood Drives for at least 10 years now. Ash Fork. In those 10 years, the school has received the High Percentage Award for 8 of the last 9 years. This is an award that these students take to heart. Ash Fork has 4 blood drives a year, and these students work hard to get as many people in our small community to sign up to donate as they can. They make phone calls, they go to local businesses to set up a table for people to sign up and sometimes, they have a coloring contest for the lower grades that help make their parents aware that we are having a blood drive soon. The STUCO strives to have a minimum of 45 donors of the 65 slots available to donate. Sometimes we meet this goal, and sometimes we do not. We really appreciate our community for coming to our blood drives to donate. We had our first blood drive in August, met goal. And our second one was in October, we were just under goal. Our next blood drive is in late February and would really like to make goal for this one. If you are interested in signing up, you may go to www.vitalant.org to sign up. You will have to create an account if this is the first time going to the site. You can also contact the school to let them know you are interested and one of the STUCO members will give you a call back to setup an appointment. Walk-ins are always welcomed, but it is more efficient to setup an appointment. Once again the Student Council of Ash Fork High School thanks all of you who try to donate for our blood drives.
