Our recent trip to Washington D.C. gave me a chance to reflect on how fortunate I have been to be part of such a special team. The journey from an under performing school to a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon school has taught me more than I can share in this short article.
I have been blessed to be part of such a motivated team of teachers, supports staff, administration and school board. I have learned how to empower others through courage, compassion and grit. Thank you for allowing me to fail and succeed while providing a support system that has consistently given me the freedom to strive for excellence.
Most of all, I wish to express my gratitude for the students who have taught me more than I have taught them. Thank you for teaching me about patience, respect, empathy, forgiveness, living in the moment, working as a team and most of all the power of limitless personal growth.
