Ash Fork School District

The Ash Fork Spartans High School basketball teams finished up their season with some outstanding play.  The highlight for the varsity boys was their win over the Williams Vikings in their last home game.  They defeated the Vikings by 1 point.  It was quite an exciting game.  The JV boys played really well this season and had a 6-6 record.  The sophomore boys made up most of the team with a junior and a few freshmen to round out the team.  The highlight of the varsity girls' season was the low scoring game against Fredonia.  It was a tough and physical game, but neither team seemed to be able to make a basket.  The girls really improved throughout the season.  The JV girls was made up most of freshmen and sophomores.  They had a winning season of 7-5.  It was a great look at what our future program will look like.  Overall, the four teams had an awesome season.  Coach Martin is looking forward to seeing what next season will bring.  A big shout out to the Class of 2024 (Gabe Zeller, Andres Santoyo, Parnell Tsosie, Julissa Nixon and Violeta Trujillo).  Your leadership and positive attitudes will be greatly missed at Ash Fork High School.
